1951 - 1955
SIM (Società Italiana Motoscooters or Italian Society Motoscooters) was founded in 1955 in Milan by a team of engineers, which separated from Motom. The Italian company build their Pegaso moped with a four stroke 48 cc engines, a pressed steel girder chassis, engine and gearbox applied cantilevered and had three-speeds. The Pegaso remained virtually unchanged until 1955, when it was avaliable in several versions, the T with 2 hp, the GT with 2 hp, TV with 2.4 hp and the S with 3 hp. There was also a SIM, desiged by Reggio Emilia, who in 1953 built the scooter Aries without a fairing, a two-stroke 148 cc engine, four-speed gearbox and a torsional transmission shaft. The front suspension of the tube frame had a double lower biscuit, with coil springs, the rear suspension is a swing arm with rubber pads. Also in 1953, the SIM had to list the scooter completely carinate SIM-Moretti of 125 cc engine with dual piston. In 1954, production at SIM remained unchanged, with the exception of the Aries, which became available in a motoleggera version but with identical characteristics in general. The company closed in 1955.
