History
Beta was founded in Florence in 1948 comes from the initials of founder Enzo Bianchi and Henry Tosi. The first models were motorcycles with engines mounted on a roller frame of a bicycle. The engines were produced by others manufactures, but later Beta will build them in the company. The first 125 to 2 times, with a shock front fork and rear suspension with telescopic shock absorbers (1950), then followed by a 175 cc entered in sport racing events (Milano-Taranto and Motogiro) with excellent results.
